Introduction to the Baddie Book Reviews Blog

When I went into university in 2017 I had lost my love and passion for reading, one that I had always had. Along with that, I ended up taking on a shitty job after I graduated and at this point completely lost my joy for reading. Four months ago I got myself out of that job and into a new one where I finally started to see pieces of myself come back.

When I was in school I would constantly look at books and add them to my want-to-read list in hopes of one day getting to read them. Now that I’ve finally gained my love back for reading I have started making my way through my list.

I don’t live the most exciting life, and I don’t have a lot of people around me to share my opinion on books with. So, I decided to create my own platform to share what I am thinking.

I’ll be honest if you are looking for professionally written reviews you have come to the wrong page. I am a 24-year-old woman, who has a multitude of neuro-divergencies, so the things that come from this noggin don’t always make the most sense, but they sure are fun!

Now you may be asking what kind of books a baddie like myself may be reviewing. All I read are mysteries, thrillers, horror, true crime, and fiction. So, if those genres aren’t your cup of tea I may not be the one for you.

I am also considering diving into some series I’ve already read to share reviews on. Such as Karen Slaughters Grant County and Will Trent Series (side note I just got the new Will Trent book and will be 1000% reviewing but more so curious if ya’ll want a review on the others), Linda Castillo’s Kate Burkholder series (same as the Will Trent’s I have the new one in my possession and will be reviewing), and the many Stephen Kings I have read. If people are interested in reviews on those reach out as I would definitely be down to share my love for those authors and their books.

I am currently diving into Kathy Reich’s Temperance Brennan series (I have read the first one and will be sharing my review) and Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli and Isle’s series. I also recently read Jodi Picoult’s The Pact and have a few of her other books sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. As I write this I am in the middle of Alex Michaelides’s The Silent Patient and Rene Denfeld’s The Child Finder. All in all this page will constantly have new reviews rolling in. I’ll be honest I don’t read a lot of bad books (if it’s bad I will stop reading it) so you can always guarantee finding a new amazing book to check out on this page.

I am going to try my hardest to give warnings to spoilers but maybe go into these with the mindset that I may spoil a thing or two so don’t come for me.

Also I apologize in advance for the jankiness of the site ya girl is not technologically inclined so I think this is the best we are going to get for now because I do not have the time to figure this out.

Thank you again for being here. I hope you enjoy these unhinged reviews and I encourage you to check out all the books and authors I mention on this page.
