For this review, I get into an Ann Rule true crime book that focuses on the life and crimes of Patricia Taylor, who reigned terror on those around her in the 1970’s. While this wasn’t my favourite Ann Rule book I’ve read so far, it was still an interesting case and well written overall.

Under the Banner of Heaven is a dynamic investigative true crime novel in which our author takes us through the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the murder of Brenda and Erica Lafferty a mother and daughter who were killed by Brenda’s husband Allen’s brothers Ron and Dan.
For this review, I get into One Perfect Couple by Ruth Ware, a twisty and interesting mystery following along contestants on a dating reality show. I really enjoyed the unique plot and the full but interesting cast of characters.

I really enjoyed this one and devoured it quickly because, at first, you are drawn into the high-paced mystery, and then further thrown into an action-filled ending that’s hard to turn away from. The God of the Woods by Liz Moore is a mystery thriller focusing on the Van Laar family, plagued by the disappearances of siblings Barbra and Bear. While the narrative is rich in character exploration and emotional depth, the pacing may not satisfy those seeking a fast-paced plot. Ultimately, it's more character-driven than thrilling.
